Images your phone takes are transcribed with the optical character recognition (OCR) server and then sent back to the phone. When uploading to Salesforce, the data is transmitted directly from the phone (or other mobile device).
*We use HTTPS for the communication channel between the OCR server and Salesforce server, with all data encrypted.
