What happens when scanned data duplicates data in an existing Lead or Contact?

Your Salesforce organization’s duplicate rules will be applied to data uploaded from Scan to Salesforce. See here for more information.

If Scan to Salesforce can find duplicate data in your Salesforce organization, you can select either “Transfer image and overwrite fields” or “Transfer card image only”. If there are any fields you don’t want to overwrite, you can edit them to avoid this.

*When Scan to Salesforce detects multiple duplicate data, this causes an error. Please deduplicate the existing records in your Salesforce organization first and retry the transfer.
